Operation Christmas Child Relay Center
OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD SHOEBOX DROP-OFF SCHEDULE 2016
A Word From the Relay Center Coordinator at First Baptist
Operation Christmas Child brings joy and hope to children in desperate situations around the world through gift-filled shoe boxes and the Good News of God's love. This program of Samaritan's Purse provides an opportunity for people of all ages to be involved in a simple, hands-on missions project while focusing on the true meaning of Christmas — Jesus Christ, God's greatest gift. Along with shoe box gifts, millions of children are given Gospel booklets in their own language. In 2011, Operation Christmas Child collected 8,643,354 shoe box gifts worldwide and distributed them to children in some 130 countries. Since 1993, more than 94 million boys and girls have experienced God's love through these simple gifts. See the full report here.
During our collection times we package the boxes churches, school groups, and individuals have dropped off into the larger shipping cartons. If you can help call the church at (781) 878-2447 or come by and sign up. High schoolers please note that this is a qualified community service project.
Want to make a needy child's day? Pack your own shoe box. Click on the image to find out how you can make a difference. You will be glad you did. We will take care of the shipping for you. If you can a contribution of $7 per shoe box will help with the shipping expenses. There are suggested items and some items that cannot be accepted. For a list of these please check the website by clicking on the teddy bear. Thanks for helping.
