Women's Retreat—October 26-28
October 26-28, 2007—Twenty two women joined in for a wonderful retreat at Craigville Conference Center. Our speaker Jean Marripodi lead us is several sessions titled “Sitting at the Feet of Jesus.” We started each session with prayer and songs of praise.
Friday night we took a look at what our weekly schedules are from day to day and what we were spending the most time on. A communion service ended our session.
Saturday morning we once again took a look at our lives. We divided activities we do on a daily basis into a pie chart. We soon found out how little time we were leaving to sit with Jesus. We then enjoyed some free time to take a walk on the beach, shop, nap or just fellowship. At our last session we saw what it will be like to worship and be at the feet of Jesus in heaven. After dinner we had our candle light reflection time sharing what the weekend meant to us. Then all but 8 women left for home (We admit we listened to the Red Sox game on the radio before retiring).
Sunday morning after breakfast those who were left traveled to Hyannis First Baptist Church. We enjoyed the sermon and were welcomed very warmly by the congregation. We ended with a great meal at the Olive Garden restaurant.
